Our Story

Crew started in 2010 and so celebrates its tenth anniversary on the 12th of October 2020, providing quality barbering to the citizens and visitors to this amazing city we call York.

From the beginning the vision was always to create something different. After years working in various barbers across Yorkshire, founder James had begun to understand what he felt was missing from the barbering experience. Time.

Time to relax, time to chat, time to play a game of FIFA or relax with a beer. You can still get the lunch break barbering experience… an excellent cut performed in excellent time. But if you want to take a more laid back approach, that’s fine too.

By offering different experiences tailored to different customers needs, James’ ambition of Crew becoming one of the top gentlemens’s hair salons in York was quickly achieved.

With that reputation for quality now firmly established the whole team are now looking forward to what they can achieve over the next decade.
